Teachers at Legacy Academy in Elizabeth, Colorado, are using iPads to conduct lessons, according to a recent Denver Post report.
Fourth-grader Kaitlyn Chin told the news provider that when several boxes arrived at the school, she hoped the contents were the Apple products.
"The first day we could bring them home, I was up all night," Chin told the Post. "I learned so many things, it really shocked me."
The report said the students are using the iPad to read books, improve their writing skills, shoot video and research topics.
Devices like the iPad can help invigorate student learning habits more effectively than traditional methods and there are even more technologically advanced products schools can use. These products can include a document camera, an interactive whiteboard or a classroom projector.
At this moment, the Apple product is still in the early stages of becoming an educational tool adopted on a larger scale. According to the Post, other schools are testing whether the iPad's effectiveness is on par with PC devices.
